Whoever thinks our website has been standing still since the launch last year, is wrong! Our IT and marketing team is continuously working on further developing and improving our website to keep on making it more user-friendly for our customers. - During the check-out process we have changed the order of the steps you follow, which means you will now first make your choice for the delivery date and then for payment. Furthermore the order button has been moved to a more convenient location.
- Customers who pay with PayPal often had problems with their payment not coming through. We find out this had to do with discontinued products that were still in their shopping cart. Because these discontinued articles are now automatically removed from the shopping cart, the payment problems have been solved.
- If you formerly visited a page on our website before you were logged in, this page got forgotten after you would log in. This has now been changed in a way that you will always be taken back to the last page you visited before you were logged in. This means you will no longer have to search for that page again!
- We have extended the period before you get logged out automatically, which means you will now not be logged out automatically before you haven’t used the website for 4 hours. This will prevent you getting logged out while placing an order.
- In the shopping cart products can now be removed by checking out the check mark. This gives you the possibility to remove multiple articles at once. Removal of products does need to be confirmed by clicking ‘update shopping cart’. It was already possible to clear your entire shopping cart at once, but thanks to an extra pop-up window you are now being asked if you are sure to empty your cart. This makes accidentally clearing your entire shopping cart less likely.
- We have added a cookie module to the website, which clarifies which cookies we use and why we use them.
- Thanks to an adjustment of the shopping cart, the total price will no longer be directly calculated when there are more than 20 products in the cart. Thanks to that, products can now be added to the shopping cart faster than you are used to. Do you want to check the total price in the mean time? Then click the button ‘calculate totals’. The website will then calculate your total price. This will take some time, but in contrast to before this is now just a one-off instead of when adding every single item and you can decide yourself when the calculation takes place. Placing your order will now be a lot quicker than you were used to.
At the moment we keep on working on speeding up our website and improving the search engine. Soon we also hope to implement an extra block to the product pages, which enables you to easily find related products, for example other available colours of the same brand and size of fondant. We hope to let you benefit from these improvements soon!
